Weekly Update, May 2nd, 2025

Hi Church,

In last week's message, we saw how Jesus tells us that just as he was sent, he is sending us. Just as Jesus went to the world, we are to go to the world too. This Sunday after service, we will be meeting in room 111 to discuss 3 mission trip opportunities for this summer and early fall. Please see the attachment that describes them. Evangelism Workshop

Join us on Sunday evening, May 18 at 6pm for our Evangelism Workshop. This seminar will cover topics such as: What is evangelism? What is the gospel? Who is called to share? And practical ways to enter gospel conversations with friends, family, and even strangers. We will meet in the multipurpose room. Weems Creek Apparel

Weems Creek Apparel is back! There are t-shirts, long sleeve tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, polos, jackets, and hats in adult and kids’ sizes. There’s something for everyone! This is a great way to share Weems Creek Church with anyone you walk past. The store link will be open through Sunday, May 18. All items will be delivered to the church and then distributed. Student Ministry Family Survivor

Do you and your family believe they have what it takes to be the Student Ministry Family Survivors? Families will compete in various mental and physical challenges with the goal of earning this illustrious title! Join us on May 10 from 10am-2pm at the church. Prayer for Revival

Join us on Thursday, May 8, as we pray for God to bring revival amongst His people and pray for other needs. We meet in room 112 from 11am-12pm.

SonShiners Potluck

The SonShiners (55+) will be having a potluck on May 15, 12pm, at the church. The church will supply hamburgers, hot dogs, condiments, and beverages. Please bring a side dish to share. Sign up at the Connect Center.

Hymn-Sing at the Naval Academy Chapel

There will be an old-fashioned hymn-sing at the Naval Academy Chapel this evening at 7pm. Anyone will be able to pick a favorite hymn from the hymnbook and they’ll sing it. If you do not have a military ID, you can park downtown and walk in through Gate 1. You must show a government issued photo ID.
