Weekly Update, April 25th, 2025
Hi Church,
Last weekend was tremendous in remembering and celebrating Jesus' death on the cross for us (Good Friday) and his resurrection. Hope you were reminded of God's love for you and his power over sin and death! It was encouraging to see many visitors. Pray that God will work in people's lives to draw them to himself. Speaking of prayer, this Sunday, we are beginning a weekly prayer meeting at 8:30am in room 105. Please join us. Ephesians 6:18 says, "Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints."
Mission Trip Meeting
Please join us after church service on May 4th as we explore several mission trip opportunities for this summer and possibly fall. We will meet in room 111 (downstairs) at 12:15pm. Cooking with Jenny – Update!
Jenny will be sharing family recipes! And there are still spots available!
The Women’s Ministry will be holding another Cooking with Jenny class on Tuesday, April 29 at 6:30pm. Jenny Francis, former caterer and an amazing cook, will be sharing family recipes. This event is for ladies 6th grade and older. Please bring a large mixing bowl, cutting board, and knife for your own use. A $5 donation is appreciated at the door (but not necessary). LIFE Groups – The Art of Parenting

Weems Creek Apparel
Weems Creek Apparel is back! There are t-shirts, long sleeve tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, polos, jackets, and hats in adult and kids’ sizes. There’s something for everyone! This is a great way to share Weems Creek Church with anyone you walk past. The store link will be open through Mother’s Day, May 11. All items will be delivered to the church and then distributed. Young Adult Movie Night
The young adults will be having a movie night on Saturday, May 3rd, 6pm, at church. If you are between college age and mid-30’s, please join us! We’ll have pizza, hang out, and watch either Night at the Museum or Facing the Giants. You can vote for which movie you want to watch on the signup. Student Ministry Family Survivor
Do you and your family believe they have what it takes to be the Student Ministry Family Survivors? Families will compete in various mental and physical challenges with the goal of earning this illustrious title! Join us on May 10 from 10am-2pm at the church.
National Day of Prayer
May 1st is the National Day of Prayer at 6:30pm. Last year over 500 people gathered to pray in Downtown Annapolis. If you plan to attend and would like to carpool, please sign up at the Connect Center or use this link Carpool to Downtown Annapolis. We will meet at the church at 5:45pm.
