Weekly Update, October 2nd, 2026

Hi church,

Hope you are enjoying a beautiful October day. I wanted to share some information about the recent Walk for Life held two weeks ago. Our church had 31 registered participants and raised $3,540 for the Wellspring Life Ministry -- this equates to providing care for three expectant mothers all the way through their pregnancy! Thanks again for supporting this important ministry.

Please take a minute to read over the different opportunities to learn, serve, and fellowship.

Harvest Fest

Harvest Fest is Saturday, Oct. 17 from 11am-1pm and is free for everyone! This is one of our biggest outreach events of the year. We welcome our neighbors to our campus to provide a fun fall activity for the whole family. We will have a petting zoo, face painting, axe throwing, carnival games, and free food. Invite your family, friends and neighbors!

To make this a success we need lots of volunteers!

Pre-event volunteers: hay bale maze creator, Chili Cook-off organizer(s), Chili Cook-off judges (3), Chili Cook-off participants, donate baked good for the “Cake Walk,” prepare welcome bags for guests

Set-up crew: 9am-11am

Event volunteers: Welcome/registration table, facepainting (2-6 volunteers), food volunteers (hand out popcorn, hot dogs and drinks), game booth volunteers, hot dog griller (start at 10:30am)

Tear down/clean up: 1pm-3pm

Please sign up in the church app or at the Connect Center to volunteer.

Men’s Ministry Football Watch Party

Mark your calendar for Monday, Oct. 12 for a Men’s Ministry Monday Night Football Watch Party at the church in the multipurpose room as the Rams take on the Bills. We’ll watch the game, enjoy some food, and just hang out. We’re looking to have Buffalo Wild Wings cater and are asking for $5 per person to help cover the cost. That said, please do not let the $5 keep you from coming – we would much rather have you there! Sign up in the church app or at the Connect Center.

Parenting Class – Wednesday Nights

Parenting is hard… really hard. And today’s culture makes parenting harder than ever before. The Bible is not silent on issues like AI, screen time, anxiety, media, and all the other challenges our children face today. Come learn foundational truths that will help equip you for the challenges parents face. Join us Wednesday nights from 6:30pm-7:45pm in room 102.

Prayer for Revival

We spend an hour in prayer asking God to send revival. We invite all who would like to participate. We pray in the spirit of the psalmist who called out in Psalm 80:17-19: “Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have raised up for yourself. Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name. Restore us, Lord God Almighty; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.” Join us on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 11am in the Student Ministry room.

Sunday Evening Class

Join us as I lead a fascinating 6-week video study, Person of Interest by J. Warner Wallace, a famous cold-case detective. Wallace makes the compelling case that powerful evidence exists, even apart from the Bible itself, that Jesus (God incarnate) ministered among us. The class meets at 6pm on Sundays beginning October 4th. There is an optional book for $10. Sign up in the church app or at the Connect Center.

My New Life Class

A new short-term discipleship class begins October 18. It is essential for Christians to establish a firm foundation of faith that leads to a lifetime of spiritual growth! The study includes topics like knowing the Gospel, the character of God, spiritual disciplines, evangelism, and much more. This 6-week class will meet at 10am on Sundays in room 105 and will be led by Kurt Russell. You can register for the class in the church app or at the Connect Center.
