Weekly Update, July 25th, 2025

Hi Church,

Please pray for the Puerto Rico missions trip that will be leaving tomorrow morning and returning next Friday. There will be 10 of us participating. We just received our specific tasks -- sealing a roof and painting a residential building. Please pray for God to be glorified by this trip and the name of Christ advanced in Puerto Rico through our words and deeds.

Orioles Faith Night

Our next church-wide fellowship is the Orioles Faith Night on Aug. 12th! We know there are two other church opportunities to go to a Baysox game next month, but this is the only one with player testimonies and a Christian concert! The game starts at 6:35pm and is against the Seattle Mariners. After the game, some players will share their testimonies and you’ll enjoy a postgame concert, all included with ticket price. Tickets are $21 and must be purchased by this coming Wednesday, July 30th. Please sign up in the church app, using this link Orioles Tickets, or at the Connect Center. We will be taking the minibus but it will be a long walk between the bus and gate so it may not be a good option for those with mobility or respiratory issues.

Students Guppy Gulch Trip

Guppy Gulch is a freshwater reservoir filled with rafts, inflatables, and water activities. Whether you want to pretend you’re on an episode of “Wipeout” or just cool off in the water, students will have a great time hanging out at Guppy Gulch! They are going Aug. 4th from 8am-5pm. Students Baysox Game

The previously planned Baysox game was cancelled due to rain, but we’ve rescheduled! Students, grades 6-12 and their parents are welcome to join us Aug. 20 at 6:35pm. Tickets are $20 which includes a seat in a sky-box and a $10 voucher for food. Sign up in the church app, at the Connect Center or by using this link: Students Baysox Game

Stuffing Backpacks

Thank you to everyone who ordered school supplies. All items have been purchased! If you would like to help stuff the backpacks, join us on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 10am in room 111. The backpacks will be delivered that afternoon.

No Sunday Morning Prayer Meeting this Sunday

There will be no Prayer Meeting this Sunday. We will return to schedule the following week.

Women’s Ministry Survey

The WCC Women's Ministry Team still needs your feedback! Even if you are unable to attend events, they would still like to hear from you. Naval Academy Ride Ministry

This past year, several members of our church have been offering rides to midshipmen from the Naval Academy to Weems Creek (and back) on Sunday mornings. We are looking for additional volunteers to help support and grow this ministry to the Naval Academy. Our hope is to eventually have enough mids that we need the minibus to transport them. Please contact the church office (office@weemscreek.com / 410-266-5527) with any questions or to volunteer. If you have an ID to drive onto the Yard, that would be a bonus.
