Weekly Update, December 5th, 2025
Hi Church,
All month we will focus on international missions with our Lottie Moon offering. Again, our church goal is $20,000. I wanted to give a brief recap of the impact of this offering around the world last year.

· 68,628 baptisms
· 84,430 new leaders
· 2,409 new churches planted
· 144,969 professions of faith
· 1.6 million hear the gospel
Incredible stats and only God knows the eternal impact from these labors. Let us stay focused on our calling to make disciples of all nations.
Buddhism Class
Jesus commanded the church to make disciples of all nations, but we have yet to complete our task. To do so, we must encounter those who have different belief systems. Out of love for God and love for people, we should want to know what others believe so that we can effectively pray for them and share the gospel. To equip us, join us to learn about Buddhism, the world's fourth largest religion. We will discuss its history, beliefs, and our response. Cookies & Cocoa
Ladies (6th grade and older), make plans to join us for the annual Women’s Ministry Cookies & Cocoa on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 2-4pm. You are invited to bring a dozen Christmas cookies to share, your favorite mug, a friend or two, and a dose of holiday cheer! Germantown Elementary Christmas Gift Outreach
Our church will be providing Christmas gifts for needy children in our area. If you would like to participate, stop by the table in the atrium. You will choose a child or a set of siblings, buy about $50 in gifts per child, wrap them, and return them to church by Dec. 14th. The church will reimburse you up to $50 per child. Gifts may be placed on the table in the atrium.
Business Meeting – Proposed 2026 Budget
Our next business meeting will Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 6pm in room 102 (next to the church office). In addition to voting in new members, reviewing financial reports and hearing ministry update, we will be voting on the proposed 2026 budget submitted by the Finance Committee. Please pick up a copy of the proposed budget at the Connect Center and review it before the meeting.
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
This offering supports missions across the globe. Our partnership is having a direct impact on gospel access, gospel belief, and gospel multiplication all around the world. 100% of every gift is sent directly to the mission field so they can take the good news of Jesus to every corner of the world. Our Weems Creek goal is $20,000. To date we have received $3,412.
Prayer for Revival
Prayer always proceeds true revival, “I have heard… of your deeds, O Lord. Renew them in our day.” Habakkuk 3:2. That is our prayer. This is a great time, and we would love for you to join us as we pray for our nation, state, community, and for each other. We will meet in the Student Ministry room on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 11am.
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
Thank you to everyone who participated! Our church donated 312 shoeboxes! As a national collection sight, we collected an additional 1130 boxes. Thank you to Liz Lewnes and Karin Ippolito and their teams for making this possible. The shoeboxes will be taken to children in need around the world. Local churches in more than 100 nations hand out these Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts at festive outreach events where the gospel is presented in a child-friendly way. The gifts in each box become a tangible expression of God’s love to the child, their family, and their community. Many shoebox recipients also participate in a 12-lesson follow-up program, The Greatest Journey.
