Weekly Update, December 19th, 2025
Hi Church,
Unlike last Sunday the forecast looks nice and clear this Sunday! We look forward to hearing the Kids Choir and I will preach the rest of the passage about the Magi's visit to Jesus. If you missed it, I encourage you to listen to it beforehand on our YouTube channel. The passage is very fascinating, important, and ties in beautifully with our focus on international missions this month. See you Sunday.
New Bible Studies
The next round of mid-week Bible studies will begin the week of January 4th and will run for 7 weeks. There are three sessions to choose from:
The Women’s Bible study group will be studying The Gospel of John: Savoring the Peace of Jesus in a Chaotic World by Melissa Spoelstra. Life seems to move at a break-neck pace. Days are filled with noise, screens, and appointments. Sometimes worry and fear are constant companions. The chaos can leave you looking for a place to be still, but that resting spot always seems to be an elusive destination. Jesus offers a different kind of life. He offers peace. He IS peace. This class meets on Tuesdays (10am), Wednesdays (6:30pm), and Saturdays (9:30am). The cost of the book is $10 but do not let that keep you from coming. Register in the church app or at the Connect Center. You may also use these links: Tuesday Mornings, Wednesday Evenings, or Saturday Mornings.
The Mixed Adult Bible study group meets on Wednesdays at 6:30pm. They will be using the video based series, The Meaning of Marriage by Tim and Kathy Keller. This study challenges modern views of love and marriage and presents a hopeful, biblical vision rooted in God’s design for covenant, service, and commitment. Open to singles, engaged couples, and those married for any length of time. Cost of the book is $5. Register in the Church app or at the Connect Center.
The Men’s Bible study will be studying 1 & 2 Corinthians. These letters provide valuable guidance and insight. By examining their content, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how these teachings can be implemented in everyday life. A study on spiritual gifts will also be included. This class meets on Wednesdays at 6:30pm in room 112. Registration is not required.
