Weekly Update, November 14th, 2025
Hi Church,
Big picture! In our Christian lives, it is important to remember the impact that the gospel has on not only our individual lives and our church but its effect on entire civilizations. Without a doubt, Christianity has impacted the world more than any other force. It is the foundation of Western Civilization, but we currently stand at a crossroads and the future is at stake! I hope you will join us for the movie “Truth Rising” next Sunday evening that discusses this Big Picture as well as shares a handful of fascinating stories of individuals whom God has used in recent years to make a difference. The movie has been promoted among area churches and there will be some discussion afterwards by leaders from the Christian Life and Public Affairs, an arm of the BCMD. See below for more information.
Be a Light to Your Neighbors
Jesus said, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14) As followers of Jesus, we are called to shine His light right where He has placed us. The Bless App is a simple, free, and confidential tool that helps you pray for your neighbors by name, build meaningful relationships, and look for opportunities to share the Gospel. When you sign up, you’ll receive a map of your neighborhood and prayer prompts for your next five neighbors.
Let’s commit together to bless our neighbors in Jesus’ name and trust God to use these small steps to bring His light to our city. Sign up today at https://app.blesseveryhome.com/signup/?ma=0&cust=17676
Mixed Adult Wednesday Night Bible Study
Join Pastor Scott on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm in room 102 (next to the church office) for a study of several Minor Prophets. These short books are often overlooked, yet many familiar New Testament verses come directly from their pages. As we explore prophets like Habakkuk, Nahum, and Haggai, you’ll see them not as distant voices from the past, but as fellow believers who show us how to process grief and suffering, stand for justice in challenging times, and hold on to hope for the future.

As the world redefines truth, "Truth Rising” offers clarity, courage, and a Christ-centered path forward. This movie will be shown at Weems Creek on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 6pm in the worship center.
