Thank you for your interest in volunteering to help us create a culture of intentional families at Weems Creek Church. We would love to have you on the team! Faith@Home is Weems Creeks initiative to make it easier and more likely for families to become intentional at home. We believe that in the sacred Church and Family partnership, both the Church and the Family have a role to play: Whatever the family may look like, God designed the family to be the primary place where spiritual formation, reformation, and transformation takes place. The Church's role is to come alongside the family to equip, inspire, and resource the family so that husbands, wives, grandparents, children, and grandchildren can spur each other on to be who God has called them to be.
About Faith@Home Hosts
Weems Creek has built both a physical and online resource center called the Faith@Home Center in the hope of making it easier and more likely faith formation will occur in the home. The Faith@Home Center is designed to be hosted by trained volunteers. Periodically, we hold Faith@Home Host training sessions for those who want to be involved in this exciting ministry. Current Campaign: Meals@Home
Why Meals@Home? Because food matters. Because meals matter. Meals are full of meaning and significance but are also practical. Recent studies reveal that the single most decisive factor among kids who do well in school and avoid risky behaviors is eating meals with the family. As author Miriam Weinstein explains, “Sitting down to a meal together draws a line around us for a brief time and strengthens family bonds by shutting out the rest of the world as a powerful ritual against the many forces pulling us apart.” Family meals give us a place to belong, a rhythm for health, and a moment of sanity!
